Amino Acids
Amino
Acids are the building block for the body (a chain of amino's equal
protein). Protein is essential to life and growth. About 80% all needed
amino's are made by the liver the other 20% must be obtained from your
regular foods. Amino acids are responsible for the growth, maintenance
and repair of our bodies. Because of the convenience many people supplement
there diets with protein supplements such as whey protein, protein bars,
amino acids tablets. When ever you intake protein in order for the body
to use it, it has to convert the protein into Amino acids. The intake
of individual Amino acid is very popular because of the way each can
strengthen the body against disease.
Amino Acids
• ALANINE - (non-essential) helps balance blood glucose
levels.
• ARGININE (sime-essential) - helps increase muscle
tone, curb appetite, aids in metabolizing fats. Works as a stimulant
to growth hormone.
• ASPARTIC ACID -(non-essential) - used mainly as sweetener,
a neuro-transmitter made with ATP increase the body's resistance to
fatigue.
• BRANCH CHAIN AMINOS (essential) - "Leucine +
Isoleucine + Valine" critial for energy production and muscle metabolism.
Helps stabilize blood sugar levels. Important in tissue repair from
athletic stress.
• CARNITINE (non-essential) - helps with fat metabolism,
increases the use of fat as energy source. Decreases ischemic heart
by preventing fatty build up.
• CYSTEINE (semi-essential) - stimulates white cell
activity in the immune system. Helps in healing treatment from burns
and surgery.
• CYSTINE(semi-essential) - promotes white blood cell
activity. Essential for skind and hair.
• GABA (non-essential) - excellent in treating brain
and nerve dysfunctions. Acts as a natural non-addictive tranquilizer.
• GLUTAMIC ACID (non-essential) - important for nerve
health. Helps in metabolizing sugars and fats.
• GLUTAMINE (non-essential) - one of the best nutrients
and energy source for the brain. Reduces alcohol and sugar cravings.
Used for muscle recovery.
• GLUTATHIONE (non-essential) - works as glucose tolerance
and anti-oxidant. Helps detoxify from heavy metal pollutants, cigarette
smoke, alcohol and drug.
• GLYCINE & DI-METHYL-GLYCINE (non-essential) -
in large doses releases growth hormone. Convert to creatine, helps detoxify
liver.
• DMG (Para-Aminobenzoic Acid) - powerful anti-oxidant
and energy stimulant, helps to curb craving in alcohol addiction.
• HISTIDINE- (semi-essential) - precursor to good immune
response, effective defense against colds. Raises libido in both sexes.
• INOSINE (non-essential) - stimulates ATP energy release,
helps with muscle endurance and strength.
• LYSINE (essential) - treatment for herpes virus,
for use topically or internally. Helps rebuild muscle and repair tissue
after injury.
• METHIONE (essential) - anti-oxidant, keeps fat from
accumulating in the liver and arteries, supports healthy skin and nails,
prevents hair loss.
• ORNITHINE (non-essential) - helps metabolize excess
body fat, promote growth hormone, muscle development, tissue repair
and endurance.
• PHENALALANINE (essential) - works as anti-depressant
and mood elevator on the central nervous system. Aid in learning and
memory retention.
• DL-Phenalalanine - an effective pain reliever and
anti-depressant. Increases mental alertness.
• TAURINE (non-essential) - helps control hyperactivity,
nervous system imbalance after drug or alcohol use. Aids in lowering
cholesterol, helps prevent circulatory and heart disorders.
• THREONINE (essential) -An immune stimulant and thymus
enhancer. Works as lipotropic to prevent fatty acid build-up in the
liver, aid in overcoming depression.
• TRYPTOPHAN (essential) - a precurser to serotonin,
involved in mood and metabolism regulation. An effetive anti-depressant,
counteracts compulsive eating, smoking and alcoholism.
• TYROSINE (semi-essential) - helps improve brain function,
reduce appetite and body fat. Effective as quick source of energy, helps
to build the body's natural source of adrenalin and thyroid hormones.
Did you Know?
Amino Acids = Protein. A chain of different amino acids is what makes up protein, for example 1000mg of amino acids = 1 gram of protein. When you eat protein your body breaks it down and converts it to amino acids, this is what the body uses to maintain the body working propertly and maintaining and rebuilding muscle.
